Whether a student is considered an NRI if studying in Abroad?


Hi,
I would like to know that if a student studying schooling in Abroad then he will be considered as NRI or normal student to study Medicine in India?

NRI is someone, who is not living in India anymore and their permanent residence is situated abroad. If you are just studying abroad, then you won't be called NRI.

Hence, there is no need to worry about anything. You will be called an Indian citizen, if your permanent residence is situated in India.

Hi,

My daughter is studying 7th standard in india from 8th standard I would like to take admision in UAE till 10th standard in this case she would be considered as NRI? when she will go back to Indian for 11th standard?

Please advise me and help to understand wheter I should move her to UAE school from india? for 8th and 9th and 10th standard classes.
