i just want to know that how many rounds are there in the entrance exam of NIFT (MFM & M.Des). i am i have done 2yrs advance deploma from INIFD in 2006. can i apply for M.Des. however i dont have the certificate, as i coudnt collect it due to my job timing.

Eligibility for M.F.M. (Master of Fashion Management):-A three years Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or Diploma in Accessory / Fashion Design / FIT from NIFT only.

Eligibility for M.Des. (Master of Design) :-
Graduation degree from a recognized University in any discipline
OR
Bachelor in Applied Arts (Fashion Design / Visual Communication / Graphic Design / Industrial Design / Interior Design / Multimedia Design / Product Design / Textiles & Accessories.
OR
B.A. (Fine Arts)
OR
B.Sc. (Textiles & Clothing)
OR
B.Arch.
OR
Design Diploma / Degree from NIFT / NID only

there is four mode of the exams, these are as followings.
GAT (General Ability Test)
CAT (Creative Ability Test)
GD (Group Discussion)
Interview

Eligibility for M.F.M and M.DES is a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university. The steps involved in the entrance exam are general ability test, creative ability test, group discussion, and finally the interview. Candidate passing these tests are immediately offered admission to the NIFT courses.

How many rounds are there in the entrance exam on NIFT-MFM?

Right now I'm persuing my BBA degree I'm in the final year of this. I'm looking forward to join NIFT for persuance of MFM with specialization in Brand management. Could anyone provide me with the information about how many rounds of exams I've to go through and what type? Also provide me with the names of exams and if any resources available which will be helpful to me in entrance examination. Any kind of help would be highly appreciatable.

To get admission in NIFT in M.Des and MFM degree you have to write CAT exam. CAT stands for Creative Ability Test.

• This test will comprise of following section :
• Quantitative Ability
• Communication Ability and English Comprehension
• Analytical and Logical Ability
• General Knowledge and Current Affairs
• Case Study

The level of difficulty of question will vary with the course to applied.
