Those who wish appear IITs undergraduate entrance test (named as JEE Advanced)
will have first clear JEE Main which is to be conducted by CBSE from the year 2013 onward.

CBSE will conduct the JEE Main. Those who qualify this JEE Main and are in the top
20% scorers in their respective 12th board exams of, 1,50,000 such candidates will be
allowed to appear an entrance test JEE Advance which will be conducted by IITs itself.

A student can attempt this JEE Advance two times at max.
As you are presently studying in 12th hence you can appear this JEE advance in the
year 2013 and 2014.

For any further information regarding JEE Main and JEE Advance, you should refer the
entrance test websites.

1)you can appear only twice for IITJEE / AIEEE exams.
2)Educational Qualification:
Student should pass out 12the with 60% in science stream in which mathematics, physic, chemistry, (biology/computer science/ electrical-any one(optional)) .

But if you are really interested and want to someting in this line you have to prepare hard these exam
Students will have to clear two entrance examinations, one JEE Main and followed by JEE Advanced, in which only 20% of the eligible students from the class 12 get the admissions in IITs.

In order to appear in IIT JEE 2013,You will require to fulfill these Eligibility:-

Educational qualification :-
-->>You should be passed out in 10+2 with science stream from recognized university/board.
-->>Your subject combination in science should be Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics.

NOTE :- If you will give the Final Exam this year,then also you can appear in this exam for this year.

Marks :-

After passing 12th you will get only one chance for qualify the I.I.T-J.E.E exam.

ELIGIBILITY FOR I.I.T-E.E EXAM:-
> Pass 12th with minimum 60% marks from recognized University or Board.
For ST/SC candidate minimum 55% marks is require.
> The age limit for exam is 17-25 year.
> Maximum number of attempts is 3.
> The candidate must be citizen of India.

A student can attempt this JEE two times at max.
As you are presently (2013) studying in 12th.

Hence you can appear this JEE exam twice i.e in the year 2013 and 2014.

IIT JEE - Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination conducted by IIT for admission to under Graduate B.Tech. courses in IITs all over India.

A candidate can appear for IIT JEE for maximum two times in his/her career that to consecutively for two years without any break after 12th.

Apart from this the eligible candidate aspiring for IIT JEE, must be an Indian Citizen having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% in aggregate from a recognised Board within the age of 17 to 25 years.

Hai, only two times one can appear in IIT JEE after passing 12th. And that two times are consecutive.means if you are appear IIT JEE exam in the year of 2012 then you have to appear in the year of 2013.
And age of the candidate should not exceed more than 25. And there is 5 year relaxations for SC/ST/PD candidates. Candidates who completed diploma are also eligible to write IIT JEE exam.

So,If you have written IIT exam in 2013,then there is a chance for you again to appear for IIT exam in 2014.

The Acronym "IIT JEE" stands for Indian Institute Of Technology Joint Entrance Examination.

First of all , i just want to inform you that there is no longer any IIT JEE Exam conducted as now there is only one examination is conducted every year known as the Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test.

This examination is conducted as a common engineering entrance exam replacing the IIT as well as the AIEEE.

Now as per the IIT JEE , in ISEET too , the candidates can only give the exam twice , once in the year in which they pass 12th and the one following this year.

So , if if you have passed 12th standard and have given the ISEET this year once , then there is only one more chance left for you for which you can attempt.

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE Advanced shall be

2(two) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years.

The candidate passed +2 exams in 2012 or appearing in 10+2 in 2013 are only

eligible to appear in (JEE)-2013.

The Eligibility Criteria for IIT JEE Exam:
*The eligibility needed by one to write this exam is a pass in standard XII.
*Applicants can appear for this exam only twice, that too in the consecutive years.
*Applicants must have a both mentally and physique healthy.
*Those who are going to give their final exams can apply as well.

And the same goes with the AIEEE just that students of the general category must have above 50 percent marks and applicants of the reserved communities must have above 40 percent marks in their finals.

So you can go ahead with your preparation. For your knowledge, aspirants can set a proper learning plan for the test. Equal importance must be given for all subjects. Revision should be done frequently for attaining better result. It is advisable to go for mock tests regularly. This will help one to find out the mistakes. It is good to go through the last year question papers too.

Let me start off my saying that the IIT-JEE entrance exam has been scrapped. It will not be conducting anymore starting from 2013. Apart from the IIT-JEE entrance exam, government has also scrapped AIEEE entrance exam.

These two exams are now replaced with a new exam called JEE or Joint Entrance Exam. This new exam format will be conducted for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology and 15 percent All India seats.

You will have to now appear for the Joint Entrance Exam. So better start preparing for it. JEE entrance exam has two stages.

1) JEE Mains

JEE Mains is the first stage of Joint Entrance Exam. It is basically the replacement of AIEEE entrance exam. Those who want admission for All India Engineering Quota are required to only apply for JEE Mains.

2) JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is the second stage. It is specifically for candidates who want admission in Indian Institutes of Technology. Others are not required to appear for this exam. To be eligible you must finish inside the rank of top 150,000 in JEE Mains. Only top 150,000 are eligible to go ahead and apply for the JEE Advanced.


JEE Eligibility

1. You should have passed 12th Class.

2. Subjects should be Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

3. Diploma holders are also eligible.

4. There is no criteria for marks.

5. Upper age limit is 25 years for the exam.

6. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

7. You have 3 consecutive attempts to clear JEE.

Number of Attempts in JEE Main Exam:

> Candidates have 3 (three) attempts uniformly for all the candidate in consecutive years.

> The Candidate passed 12th exam in 2011 or 2012 or appearing +2 in 2013 are only eligible to appear in JEE main 2013.

> The Candidate passed in 12th in 2010 or before or appearing in 2004 are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2013...

You can give three attempts for IIT irrespective of your age limit the IIT doesnt have any criteria related to age.

->Secondly the candidate can appear just after passing class 12th.
->Age limit must be between 25 year.
