Re: How may I do law after completing BCA? What is the course duration of law?
You can apply for the LLB after completing Bachelor of Computer Applications. The only requirement for LLB is graduation degree. Then it could be any graduation course like BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Tech etc.
The duration of the course will be 3 years. There is no 2 years LLB course in India. And there is no need for you to apply for the 5 years course since you have completed graduation. Five years LLB course is for candidates who have passed 12th standard. They can apply for the integrated LLB course which includes a Bachelor degree like BA, B.Com and the LLB course. Which is why the duration of the course is 5 years. But you should stick with 3 years LLB course. There are some very good colleges offering 3 years course like Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University. Another important thing to keep in mind is that LLB is regular only course. It is not offered through correspondence and neither such degree is accepted by the Bar Council of India. So do not take admission for LLB through correspondence or distance education course. Stick to the regular course. LLB Eligibility 1. Qualification: Bachelor's degree is required for 3 years LLB course. 2. Percentage could vary from college to college. Around 45 to 50 percent will be sufficient. 3. There is 5% relaxation for SC/ST in marks criteria. 4. However in Delhi University, there is no marks criteria for SC/ST. 5. There is no marks relaxation for OBC. 6. The upper age limit is 30 years for the course. 7. It is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST. |
