SET or SLET is conducted in following states only.

Maharashtra & Goa
Tamil Nadu SET
Madhya Pradesh SET
Andhra Pradesh SET
Himachal Pradesh SET
Jammu & Kashmir SET
Rajasthan SET
West Bengal SET
NE-SET (It includes all North Eastern states and Sikkim)
Karnataka SET

SET is not conducted by Bihar state.

You should apply for UGC-NET examination.

The examination is conducted in June and December month for which, notifications are
published in the month of March and September respectively.
