Defence Research and Development Organisation was formed in the year 1958 under the Government of India. The headquarter of the organisation is located at New Delhi. The organisation has the strength of around 30000 employees among which there are approximately 5000 scientists. The organisation is considered as one of the largest defence contractors and a leading aerospace manufacturer present in Asia. The organisation resulted after the merging of Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production with the Defence Science Organisation.

Job Profile:

Defence Research & Development Organisation is looking forward to make recruitment of candidates through the DRDO Entry Test-2012 on the vacant posts of Technician ‘A’. Posts of Technician ‘A’ are availbale for the subjects Carpenter, Fitter, Book Binder, Pattern maker, Electronics, Draughtsman (Mechanical), Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Boiler Attendant, CNC operator, Medical Lab technology, Refrigeration & Ac Mechanic, Fibre Reinforced Plastic Processor, Sheet metal Worker, Motor Vehicle Mechanic.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Technician ‘A’ is 18 years as on the closing date of application.
The minimum age limit set for the post of Technician ‘A’ is 28 years as on the closing date of application.

All interested candidates should follow this age criteria for being eligible for applying for the specified post in Defence Research & Development Organisation. However, relaxation in the upper age limit or maximum age limit will be provided to the reserved categories candidates such as Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes or OBC or Ex- Serviceman or PWD. Relaxation will be provided as per the rules of Government of India only.

Educational Qualification:

All interested candidates are required to possess the minimum educational qualification set for the post of Technician ‘A’ in Defence Research & Development Organisation i.e. candidates should have passed 10th standard or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidates should also possess a certificate in the relevant or concerned trade from ITI. Candidates having qualification less than the prescribed one, will not be considered by the Defence Research & Development Organisation.

Posts available for General candidates: 73 posts.
Posts available for Scheduled Caste candidates: 15 posts.
Posts available for Scheduled Tribes candidates: 7 posts.
Posts available for OBC candidates: 24 posts.

No. of posts: Selected candidates will be paid the prescribed salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay a non refundable application fee of Rs. 50. The application fee must be paid through Indian Potal Order only and it should be made in favour of The Director, CEPTAM, Delhi payable at Delhi. Application fee paid through any other mode will not be accpeted by the authority. Candidates falling uper the categories of SC/ ST/ ESM/ PWD are exempted from the payment of this application fee i.e. they are not required to pay this application fee. Women candidates are also exempted from the payment.

How to apply: Applications must be made on a white plain A4 size paper only. Application form should be filled in with the complete and correct details. Application form in the prescribed format should reach to the following address on or before the last date. Application recieved after due date will not be considered under any special circumstances.
