Re: How much percentage is required to take admission in software engineering?
The admission for Engineering courses are done through entrance exams or lateral entry. There are various entrance exams for admission in Engineering. Each state conducts its own entrance exam while the central govt also conducts a entrance exam. The top engineering entrance exams are:
IIT-JEE - For admissin in presigious Indian Institute of Technology AIEEE - For admission in other central govt funded colleges. Unfortunately both these exams have been scrapped and from now onwards ISEET would be the exam to take for admission in IIT or NIT. Soon it is expected that other states would also start accepting the ISEET entrance exam. Although it is not expected to happen next year when the ISEET would take place for the first time. The eligibility criteria for ISEET almost the same as other entrance exams. However syllabus and exam pattern is very much likely to change. Eligibility 1. Must have completed 12th with PCM as the subjects. 2. At least 40 percent marks in 12th board. If you meet these requirements then you can appear for the ISEET entrance exam from next year onwards. The entrance exams for this year have been concluded already. The other way to seek admission is by completing diploma in Engineering after 10th. This way you can take admsision for Engineering through lateral entry. |

Friend If you want to join B.tech software engineering you have to pass 12th class with minimum 50% marks. ELIGIBILITY FOR ENGINEERING EXAM:- > Pass 12th with minimum 50% marks from recognized University or Board. For ST/SC candidate minimum 45% marks is require. > The age limit for exam is 17-25 year. > Maximum number of attempts is 3. For admission in top college you have to qualify the entrance exam like:- > I.I.T-J.E.E > A.I.E.E.E > B.I.T.S.A.T > M.I.E.E.E > S.R.M.E.E.E > D.C.E-C.E.T > E.M.C.E.T > I.P-C.E.T etc ALL THE BEST! |

Re: How much percentage is required to take admission in software engineering?
There is no fixed figure for the percentage required to get selected for software engineering. It varies from college to college according to their respective eligibility criteria. Also most colleges in india admit students on the basis of their ranks in various entrance examination such as IIT JEE, AIEEE and various state level as well as college organized entrance examinations...however if you want to apply for an undergraduate degree in 2013, all government affiliated engineering schools will host a joint entrance examination based on the rank of which you might get selected. Registration for this will be open in october 2012

Re: How much percentage is required to take admission in software engineering?
Hi,
I think you mean the percentage for the H.S. course or the higher secondary or I.S.E marks required. Well then it varies from college to college. You can afford to get very low in 12th standard or else even if you get a tremendous rank in engineering entrance examinations like AIEEE or JEE or EAMCET, you will rejected just because of your 12th standard marks. Now, do not make your 12th standard marks less than 50% at all. Mostly colleges prefer 50-55% in the 12th standard or above this. So if you have this backing and along with that a good rank in any of the engineering entrance examinations, that I mentioned, then getting in software engineering branch and that too in your favorite college will be easier. |

Re: How much percentage is required to take admission in software engineering?
Dear aspirant,
-Percentage is not the criteria for admission into software engineering. -You should have passed 10+2 with physics ,chemistry and maths subjects. -You can apply for various engineering entrances like AIEEE, IIT JEE and other state level engineering entrance exams. -From next years there will be a common entrance for AIEEE and IIT JEE . The name for that entrance will be ISEET. -You have to get a good rank to get admission in a good college. -For getting goof rank you should have good knowledge of physics , chemistry and maths -So start preparing for these subjects so that you can get a good rank. BEST OF LUCK.... |
