You need to have strong preparation for bank exams and in addition you need to secure as many marks as possible by efficiently using the given time in order to qualify in the written exam.

This is because the competition for the bank exams is that much high irrespective of clerk or PO.

The craze for bank exams is also upto next year only. Because, there are huge number of retirements in number of banks for this year and for the upcoming year.

After that, I don't think banks will come up with big recruitment notification.

Any way, Reasoning will be given much priority and you need to have good preparation of all the reasoning concepts. Practice will benefit you to score high in this section. Even if you don't have enough practice, logical thinking will help you to solve these questions. Try to be good in that.

For General Awareness, in recent days, most the questions are from banking terminology. Go through meaning of various terms used in bank, the new changes happened in banking industry and other aspects.

For Quantitative Aptitude, what makes you to answer these questions in less time is quick caluculation. You should be able to calculate from your mind. And again practice should be required.

For General English, you don't need to prepare if you are good at Grammar, Vocabulary. Otherwise, try to improve yourself in those areas.

I suggest you to join coaching for bank exams if time permit you.

There are a number of books and correspondence courses available for bank preparatory examinations. There is, however, no substitute for self-study and self-preparation. Regular studies, systematic preparations, self-confidence and regular practice, is all that is required to pass this exam.
