For any type of exam good g.k knowlege is compulsary.for g.k question please follow the P.D and upkar's g.k book.and current affair is very important for competation exam,so for this see regular news paper.

For G.K and current affairs, apart from preparing the G.K books and other clerical exam books like R.S. AGARWAL, PRATYOGITHA KIRAN, BANKING SERVICES CHRONICLE and study materials , ther is a need to update information from PRINT MEDIA - newspapers from published question-corners or puzzles etc. for example if you consider 'THE HINDU' DAILY NEWSPAPER, G.K. questions will be provided with answers in the YOUNG WORLD i.e., published on every tuesday. Some times additional booklets will also be given at the end or start of an year with newspapers and exam guides. those alll should be covered thoroughly (just as the same, an ADDITIONAL was issued with all 2010 events on 06.01.2011 along with THE HINDU).Electronic Media also furnish some best information.
Besides this also do pose those questions that you have learnt to your friends or neighbours. It makes you think for a while again & increases the memory power and you could also make others know the facts. ALWAYS BE OPEN FOR DISCUSSION WITH OTHERS.

SBI clerical require General knowledge.

For preparing, you can buy Manorama Year book, it gives you the detail the happenings of the year. I want you to concentrate on current affairs as it carries more no. of questions. Magazines such as India today, Frontline, The week, etc will help you.
