The syllabus for RRB(loco pilot) is all about Mathematics,English,General knowledge and reasoning.Hence you can prefer the following books

Mathematics by Dr.lal & Jain or you can even prefer NCERT maths book from 9th to 12th.

English grammar from Oxford English grammar,Oswal textbook for 10th ICSE.

Reasoning by R.S Agarwal.

These are the standard books,you can even prefer previous year question papers so that you get a clear cut about it.

1) go for diploma in " REAL TIME EMBEDDED SYSTEMS" it is a 6 months course .
2) go for programmable LOGIC CONTROLLER ( PLC programming with ladder logic) it is for 2 weeks .it is basicaaly for siemens PLC.
3)pcb designing also
4) go for embedded and vlsi training as there are 130 chip design firm present in india.
some of the GLOBAL COMAPNIES like Cisco,Juniper,Honeywell,GE,Bosch,Delphi,Visteon,co ntinental have set up there embedded development centres in India..


Comapies like Wipro,HCl,Texas instruments,Freescale,Cadence,Mindtree,L&T ,TCS ,Tata Elsi and KPIT have also entered into embedded software and hardware..



5)job prospects for electronics students are bright in IC manufacturing companies.

while doing any course please make sure you are good in programming ,C language sholud be done thoroughly otherwise you cannot do programming in controllers and processors .....
