Re: How to pursue MBA degree? I am interested in obtaining specialization certain subjects
Hi dear................. MBA or Master of Business Administration is one of the popular, 2 year professional courses which is the ever demanding one in India and across the globe. It is a semester based course (mostly 4 semesters) deals with the theoretical aspects of business. There are two types of MBA- General and Specialized, and cover different subjects including Commerce, economics, Management etc. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is equivalent to MBA, but a PGDM graduate can’t do the PhD since it is not recognized. But now most of the organizations/firms prefer PGDM over MBA because of the industry relevance. There are also other programs like Post Graduate Programs (PGP) in business for the future Managers. Eligibility Criteria for MBA Any graduates or corresponding discipline under the recognized Indian university (or AICTE recognized bachelor degree) are eligible for taking the entrance examination for the program. Students who are in the final year exam are also eligible. First the candidates have to clear the entrance examination, which is accepted by the desired institution and have to apply to each B- School. MBA Specializations The choice of specialization subjects generally include: MBA in Consumer Behavior MBA in Criminal Justice MBA in e-Business MBA in Education MBA in Engineering MBA in Entrepreneurship MBA in Executive MBA in Finance MBA in General management MBA in Global management MBA in Health Care MBA in Hospitality and Tourism MBA in Human Resources MBA in Industrial management MBA in Information Technology MBA in International Trade and Business MBA in Knowledge management MBA in Leadership MBA in Marketing MBA in Media MBA in Nonprofit and Government MBA in Operations and Logistics MBA in Organizational MBA in Risk Management MBA in Sport management MBA in Systems MBA in Technology management MBA in Telecommunications Top 10 MBA Colleges in India Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad Indian Institute of Management Calcutta Indian Institute of Management Indore Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode Indian Institute of Management Lucknow LIBA – Loyola Institute of Business Administration Nirma Institute of Managemen Ahmadabad SIBM – Symbiosis Institute of Business Management XIMB – Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneshwar XLRI Management Institute Jamshedpur Good luck........... |
