In order to be considered eligible for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) to be held in the month of December 2012, you will have to register on or before 1st October 2012. The registration can be done through both online as well as offline mode.

You can register for the CPT course right now even if you want to give the CPT exams in December 2013


ICAI will declare the dates for the December CPT eaxms later and also the dates to fill the CPT exam forms.
For december exams forms will be filled in October 2013

In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below subjects:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only
Candidates scoring minimum 50% marks are declared as pass

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is open only to those students who are already registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Registration is done throughout the year.
