How should I become an IFS officer while studying in class 12th(PCM)


i am studying in 12 class(PCM). i want to become a IFS officer.

Sorry to say that 12th standard candidate are not applicable for IFS Exam .The minimum Qualification for IFS Exam is graduate .Details of the IFS Exam is given below.

Those candidate have completed graduation degree from below mentioned department are applicable for IFS exam-

Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
Botany
Chemistry
Geology
Mathematics
Physics
Statistics

Forestry

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

If you want to become an IFS Officer than you need to complete Bachelor degree Course , then only your eligible to apply for IFS Examination ..

So, Please complete bachelor degree course than your eligible to appear in IFS Examination ..

IFS Stands for Indian Forest Service and this Examination is Conducted Union Public Service Commission . This Examination is held every Once in a year .

Eligibility Criteria required for IFS Examination :-


Student should Complete Graduation from recognized University .

And It's Compulsory that the candidate should Studied any one of the Subject in Bachelor degree Course like,

-Animal Husbandry
-Veterinary Science
-Botany
-Chemistry
-Geology
-Mathematics
-Physics
-Statistics
-Zoology


So, If you have studied any one of the Subject than your eligible to appear in IFS Examination , Other wise your not eligible for IFS Examination .

Applicant should also Satisfy the age Criteria, ( 21 years and Not more than 30 years ) and Upto 5 years relaxation for sc/st candidates and 3 years for obc candidates .

Applicant should be Physically as well as Medically Fit ..

The Indian Forest Service (IFS) Exam is conducted by the UPSC every year..

Sir, i would like to share one problem..
i ve heard that before they confirm as an IFS Officers they used to administered a "proficiency" test under the School of Foreign Language (SFL). And my very question is what if one is dropped from the so called " Proficiency" test?
I want to make it clear for this.so if you have any knowledge about it please brief me.

IFS - Indian Forest Service, to become an IFS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with science stream with Botany and Zoology from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 Years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The selection is through two stages of written exam followed by Personal Interview.

Dear Friend


IFS stands for the Indian Forest Services.The examination for this services is conducted separately by the UPSC every year.

The basic educational qualifications required to be eligible for the IFS entrance exam is that you should have passed your bachelor's degree/or in the final year of it with the following mentioned subjects as one of the subjects of your graduation.

1.Animal Husbandary

2.Zoology

3.Mathematics

4.Geology

5.Veterinary Science

6.Forestry.

7.Agriculture

8.Physics or statistics.


So,friend it is not possible for a 10+2 student to become an IFS officer.First of all complete your bachelor's degree and then think about the IFS entrance exam.

Your age should be between 21-30. years with relaxations applicable to obc and sc/st respectively.

Till then do your preparation by joining some of the famous institutes well known for the IFS exams.

To become an IFS(Indian Forest Service) officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year and after Graduation from Science stream.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IFS, Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Botany and Zoology as subject of studies from arecognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

The selection is through three stages:-

-CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test

-Civil Service Main Exam

-Personal Interview

So while studying 12th you should start your preparation with an aim to crack IFS, Civil Service Exam.

IFS Exam Details:-

~In the written exam the first two paper is General English and General Knowledge. For both of them 300 marks have been allotted. Then last four papers are optional where you will be given the freedom to choose subjects. For each paper 200 marks have been allotted.

~On doing well in the written exam there is a chance of getting selected to participate in the personality test session. Then your overall performance is going to be monitored to give the final decision.

~Exams generally will take place in the month of July.

Dear Vashudhev,

The Acronym "IFS" stands for Indian Forest Services.

The IFS Exam is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of Forest Officers.

Te Minimum educational qualification required to be eligible to apply for the IFS Exam is graduation from any recognized university in any one of the following streams :

* Animal Husbandry

* Zoology

* Mathematics

* Geology

* Veterinary Science

* Forestry

* Agriculture

* Physics/Statistics

So as you are currently in standard 12th (with PCM) , you are ineligible for the IFS Exam.

You have to complete graduation first in order to apply for the exam.

The Other Qualifications that you should have for IFS Exam are :


* Candidates in final year of graduation of the above mentioned streams are also eligible.

* Your Age Should Lie in between 21-30 years.

* Age Relaxation :

a) For OBC Candidates : 3 years

b) For SC/ST Candidates : 5 years

c) For Physically Handicapped : 10 years.
