How should i prepare for IBPS exam? List of available books for this exam?


i want to know that how do i prepare for ibps exam, this is my first experience for any bank exam. what type of books should i refer for prepration,
today online prepration is also good way but i also want to know through which books should i go for, and what would be the syllabus, if u specially advice any name of books & publisher who publish this type of books.

Common Written Examination conducted by the Institute of Banking Personal Selection-IBPS, will comprise of objective type questions from

English Language
Reasoning
Quantitative Aptitude
Computer Knowledge
General Awareness

These objective type question will be of 225 marks.

Descriptive Paper on English Composition (Essay, Precis, Letter Writing etc) will be of 25 marks.

You can also refer to the following books for the preparation of CWE:

IBPS Po Exam Pattern :
this exam is two sections

Duration of Time : 150min
Questions : 250

first section :

Reasoning with 50questions of 50marks
English language with 50questions of 50marks
Quantitative Aptitude with 50questions of 50marks
General Awareness with 50questions of 50marks
Computer Knowledge with 50questions of 50marks

Second section :
Descriptive type questions on English composition with 25 max marks
attained this section of IBPS CWS exam in 60 min
Descriptive type questions will be from eassay , precis , letter writing etc

Quantitative aptitude :
percentages
profit & loss
averages & ages
Simple & compound interests
time & work
time and distance
clocks & calenders

Reasoning :

blood relations
directions
series ( numbers,letters,words)
analogies ( numbers , letters , words)
seating arrangements
cubes
coding & decoding

English language :

sentence corrections
using of verbs
vocabulary
sentence formation
basic grammar

Computer Knowledge :

basic computer knowledge

General awareness :

sports
national / international politics
latest scams
ministers and their departments
economy
records

IBPS conducts exam for the post of bank po every year.This exam consist of 5 sections which are given below----

Reasoning

English language

Quantitative Aptitude

General Awareness

Computer Knowledge

the time limit for this is 3 hours and the no of questions to attempt is 150 .that is 50 questions from each of the section mentioned below.
