i have done btech from amity university and secured 60% marks, i have been selected for mtech from svpuat meerut , i am determined to do phd further will it be good to go for it or may i get 1 year break and prep for gate.

Sardar Vallabhai Patel university of agriculture and technology(SVPUAT) is a good and popular college for agriculture only.
it is third university in field of agriculture in India. but it is not shining in technology.

I suggest you that it is not suitable for M.Tech. better go for GATE exam.
