How to take admission in marine after a B.E. mechanical engineering? syllabus for admission for presea training in any college?

Hello friend,

You can go through the post graduate course in marine engineering for graduate engineers.

In the Govt or private institutes you can take up this course after which you have to take some trainings in the training institutes like pre-sea or post-sea trainings...

The training courses are different depending on your study course and they can be 6 months or 4 months duration.

The best institutes for getting training in this are:

1.Training Ship Chanakya, Navi Mumbai.
2.Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Kolkata.
3.Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Mumbai.
4.Lal Bahadur Shastri College of advanced Maritime Studies and Research, Mumbai.

I didn't find any syllabus of the pre-sea training course dude..

But you can find it going in the individual site of the institutes..

There are low chances. Yes, you can do m.tech in marine engineering. Or since you b.tech mechanical you should keep eye on vacancy in navy sector.

since you are askig about allied forces.
there is ssc exam to recruit graduates form any branch of learning.
there is nothing though your be knowledge will come of use.
do me to join their technical branches.

way to join.

either do the course under the institute which runs for the marine engineering.

or do the post graduation course,then you can take the admission.

You can absolutely join Marine after completion of your B.Tech in Mechanical engg.

As you didn't mention that for which reason you want to join marine, either for further studies or for job aspects.
You can join marine as a job also , so many marine ships requirement is to opt so many mechanical engineers also.

Or you can take admission in M.Tech in marine also, but you have to appear in GATE exam.

sir iam studing 4th year mechanical engg, pls tell me how to get job in marine side.what type of exams shell i attend and what are the websites giving information about this.

to take admission i will suggest you try to do a 1year training program from any institution. it will help you very much to take admission in marine. otherwise try to do Mtech in marine engineering. this is very tough from mechanical engineering. but try for it surely you will get admission in marine. best wishes.

Yes ofcourse you can do your masters in marine engineering after B.Tech.
You can take training from the most reputed tarining centres like-
Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Kolkata
Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Mumbai.

But,please find out work profile before u take admission.
If u dont like blue collar job don't take admission.
after completing marine engineering which may take 4 years in your case, u would be working as maintenance engineer on ship, for promotions u will have to appear for exams.
so please take decision carefully.
