Re: how we student prepare for a job interview?
I think the best way to prepare for an interview is to not prepare much and go with a relaxed and confident state of mind. The first and the most important thing is to just be yourself. Mostly what happens is that candidates tend to give a fake impression of themselves without realising that the person conducting the interview is a pro and can easily judge whether your answers are genuine. You can brush up your technical knowledge but do not go with prepared answers. One thing you can do is to conduct an interview with yourself and ask yourself the same questions that can be expected in a job interview. It will help you to answer many questions which you may not have realised yourself. At no cost prepare answers word by word. Just figure what you want to say. What they expect in an interview is honest answers. If you go with prepared answers it may look fake which surely isn't impressive. Also understanding the job requirements and the company's profile can be beneficial. But avoid usual cliches like 'I want to join the company because of brand name' etc. Instead understand the core principles of company and job requirements and figure out where you stand and how can you contribute to the company. A very important factor in a job interview is your resume. Most interviewees ask questions from resume. So instead of copying anyone else's responses write all the responses in your resume yourself. Trust me a company will never hire for what you are not so be very honest in your interview.

Re: how we student prepare for a job interview?
Whether applying for a job, or for a scholarship (yes, even here! J ), an interview shows up in the way of your desire to get what you applied for. Scholarship interviews are included in the application process in the programs administered by the Soros Foundations (Open Society Network) and are also used by most American universities, at both undergraduate and graduate level. What's an interview about? Well, being invited to one means you look good "on paper" (your application documents are all right) and that you made it over the first part of the application process. It also usually means that you're in a "now or never" kind of situation. Hard but true, screw the interview and you're out, no matter how fine your application is. This is why you definitely SHOULD PREPARE before the interview. Before going any further, please note that the rules and recommendations below apply for both scholarship and job interviews, unless otherwise stated.

Re: how we student prepare for a job interview?
As you prepare for job interview, consider learning as much as you can about these three topics. Learning about the daily job duties, the desired results and the corporate culture might require investigations and research of published materials. Additionally, learning about these things will require personal research and conversations with people familiar with that field and company. Once you’ve learned about what the company is looking for, you are ready for the next stage of preparation. The successful job candidate is typically the one who can answer the job questions in ways that not only address the stated question, but also provide evidence, proof and examples of his or her suitability for the job.

Re: how we student prepare for a job interview?
Hi friend,
A job interview consists of 4 stages. They are 1.aptitude test - you can prepare for aptitude test with a book named r.s.agarwal which has more than 10000 aptitude questions. 2.group discussion - here the important thing is your communication. whatever you speak it must be clear. 3.technical interview-this interview is about your technical knowledge which you studied in college. 4.personal interview-this interview is about your character and knowledge other than studies. |

Re: how we student prepare for a job interview?
Hi dear,
Whether applying for a job, or for a scholarship (yes, even here! Re: how we student prepare for a job interview?
If you can qualify the aptitude test then you have to face HR interview and Technical interview .
In technical interview most question are asked .So this is the most important part .If you want to perform well ,you have to make clear concepts on the core subjects .To make clear concepts read text books of different papers ,don't go for the year solves or suggestive topics . For the Hr interview session take look on the attached file , it contains what should be your answer for different HR questions like - Self introduction , salary expectation etc.......... |

Re: how we student prepare for a job interview?
hii!!!
There are a few steps that plays very important role for interview preparation :- 1) look about the company details. 2) look for the qualification required for the post. 3) prepare about some currrent affairs and improve your knowledge in related field 4)know something about the recent development in your field. 5)and the best way is talk to some people at the same office, that will help. 6) be confident. 7) dress smartly. and have some presence of mind. 8) practice it with your friends that will help and you will gain confidence. 9) never be oversmart do as you are asked to do. 10)work hard as it is the only key to success. For campus placement two types of interveiws are there:- 1) Technical Interview 2) HR interview. A) In technical interview interviewer check your technical knowledge that how much technical knowledge you have in your subject. -> they ask you questions from basic concept of your subject. -> they may ask your two or three favorite subject and may ask questions from that. so you must prepare two or three subject very well. B) In HR interview they will just check you personality. -> they will ask some common questions like introduce yourself, why you want to join in this company, your strength/weakness, your hobby, question may ask related to your hobby and other. ->always try to find out some common HR interview question easily you will get it from interview. ->you must convince the interviewer with your answer. don't try to bluff in front of interviewer they are generally very experienced person. easily they will capture you. ->give answers very smartly to the HR. ->don't give liar or duplicate answers,if you want to add some duplicacy in your answers then also add it smartly. ->HR can test you by putting obstacles in your path during your interview,so be confident don't afraid. Except all these other things also plays very important role that may include:- self dependent. try for good answering. improve your technical skills. improve your communication skills. work hard sit properly and confidently because they also check your gestures and postures that will reflect your personality and your confidence. so go ahead ....all the best my friend.. |
