hi this is pooja..completed my graduation in commerce this year..earger to join indian army

YES can join army as a SSC OFFICER in the logistic or any other branch except warfare or battle field,as womens are not allowed for it.

you can appear for CDS EXAM conducted by upsc(www.upsc.gov)

or you can also enter the field by UES(university entry scheme).(Official Website of Indian Army)

1 IMA

2 OTA

You have minimum Qualification i.e 10th or +2 is enough. You can write SSC exam. unmarried only allowed.Minimum Qualification allow to write the exam after you join our army they will allow to study for Higher eduction.

you can join the army in many ways,
1.through writing cds(combined defence services) which will be held on 15th february 2010.
2.through military engineering services who are constantly recruiting fresh graduates from engineering colleges.
3. Also there are various ssc exams
but let me tell one thing ,to get to the army you not only have to clear the written tests and interviews but also the physical fitness test which is quite demanding,so be prepared physically as well

Appear for NDA exam... Girls have some posts in Indian army.....

generally girls have very few posts in indian defence.....but since u have done graduation from commerse field u are eligible for logistic department in indian navy.....u shud try for it .....

Hi this is sunil, i dont know how to join indian army . i am studying in 10th . but i want to know how to join from now itself . what are the procedures to become a Lt colonel. i have not done any courses like NCC or scouts ............

listen frnd u desire to become Lt colonel , then u have to study upto 10+2 atleast......
10 yrs back there used to be a entry after 10..that too for soldiers and not for officers.....

always think big and complete your 10+2...then u will be eligible to appear for NDA exam which is conducted twice a year......

setting into army does not require any ncc or scouts certificate compulsorily.......it is just that u should have the aptitude and spirit to join Indian Army......

if u want to go into army as am officer then you have to complete graduation otherwise you can go as an solder in army,....it is better if you go for graduation first then you will be eligible for more entries in army..........

Girls can't apprear for NDA and NA examination........ they can get in to army,navy,air force throuh other exams.... NDA and NA exam is held twice in the year Procedure for exam is....
1.written test
2.interview
3.apptitude test
4.medical tests...............

these days the minimum qualification for entry in defence forces id 10 th.....that is for cooks.....if you want to be an soldier or an officer the qualification should be 12......

There is only one procedure that you go for the form of UPSC and apply in that while choosing CDS option.

mukesh singh you can surely join army by filling army forms issued in mid august these are of 10th level ......lieutenant post can be achived only after graduation level filling cds forms.

you can join India army through following entry shemes:-

NDA:national defence academy,all india entrance is conducted for it twice in a year naming NDA-1 (notification in march-april) & NDA-2 (notification in october-november) it is conducted by UPSC.The minimum eligibility criteria fo it is you must have passed class 12 with atleast 60% aggregate and also must have not crossed the age limit of 19 & 1/2 year till the date of commencement of course at july 01 of the year in which you are appearing.Special provision is also for 12 appearing candidates.8 page complete notification for it is released in employment news.After clearing entrance,you have to clear service selection board (SSB),then a medical fitness test,then after a 3 years training at IMA and by awarding a graduation degree you will be appointed as lieutenant.

CDS: combined defence service,eligibility criteria is candidate must have passed/appeared in graduation with atleast 60% aggregate.It is conducted by upsc (http://www.upsc.gov.in) twice a year.After clearing entrance,you have to clear service selection board (SSB),then a medical fitness test,then after a 13 months training at IMA you will be appointed as lieutenant.

if you want to join indian navy as an sailor then you have to give an exam for MER and if you want to join navy as an officer then you have to apply for NDA exam conducted by UPSE or you can apply under technical entry scheme if you have scored 75% in PCM

1)you can get into it by giving NDA exam till the age of 19 1/2 yrs.
2)if you have scored nore than 75% in PCM in 12th then you can apply for technical entry scheme.
