The Indian Banking sector offers opportunities for a career in specialized fields like IT, Technical, Agriculture, Legal, Marketing, HR, Finance, Rajbhasha etc.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a Common Written Examination (CWE) as a pre-requisite for selection of professionals for the above mentioned Specialist cadre posts in the Public Sector Banks.

IT Officer or Technical Officer is one of these Specialist Officers whose selection in these Public Sector Banks is done by IBPS through Common Written Examination.

I.T. Officer (Scale-I)
Age - Min- 20 Years and Max-35 Years
Education - Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics &
Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation

OR

Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications from a recognised University/ Institution

OR

Graduate from a recognized university having
passed DOEACC ‘B’ level

Syllabus for IBPS IT Officer Scale 1 Exams:

There are a total of 200 Questions carrying 200 Marks in the Written Test. However not all questions carry same marks. You will get a maximum of 120 Minutes to solve these questions. The exact pattern is given below:

1. Reasoning 50 questions for 50 marks
2. English Language 50 questions for 25 marks
3. Quantitative Aptitude 50 questions for 50 marks
4. Professional Knowledge (Computer and IT) 50 questions for 75 marks

The questions on Computers and IT carry the maximum marks in the exam. You must prepare this sections thoroughly.
