hello.. i want to know the pay scale and the special allowances given to pcs and IAS officer.
is it same for both or any diff.
if not any diff. then i think govt. is not giving such imp. to AN IAS officer which he deserve in real manner compared to PCS officer.

almost same .......but differ in special allowances......an ias off gets more facilities

The starting salary of an IAS officer is in the Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade pay of Rs.5400.

The above in the Basic pay of a Junior IAS officer who has just started his career.

You will also get HRA and DA on this Basic pay. Dearness allowance is 72 % at the moment.

Means after getting DA and HRA it will be quite a handsome salary .

As you are promoted to higher ranks your salary will increase and you will get many benefits also along with this salary.

There are many other allowances which you will get like free medical facilities, Free vehicle ,Free phone , Free electricity .

IAS is one of the most lucrative government job in India and hence there is very high competition for it.

IAS Pay Scales

If you didn't know already, IAS salary structure consists of four Pay Scales: Junior Scale, Senior Scales, Super Time Scale, and Above Super Time Scale. Each of the pay scale further consists of different pay bands.
Above Super Time Scale

There are three Pay Bands in this scale.

Rs 37400-67000. Grade Pay of Rs 12000.
The Apex Pay Scale of Rs 80000 (fixed). No Grade Pay.
Cabinet Secretary Grade of Rs 90000 (fixed). No Grade Pay.

Not all IAS officers are fortunate enough to enjoy this Pay Scale. The IAS officers in the Super Time Scale include Senior Secretaries, Chief Secretaries, Secretaries in the Central Government and the Cabinet Secretary, the highest position an IAS officer can aspire for in life.

You need 33% or more in any discipline for upsc or pcs exams. Which mean it doesn't matter as long as u you passed it
