Information about IAS and IPS and IFS post?


I want information about IAS AND IPS and IFS Post..which is the best post? Along with MPSC

For getting in IAS, IPS or IFS post you need to appear for CIVIL SERVICE Examination which is conducted by UPSC each year.

If you get approx. between 1-50 rank in all india, then you will get into IAS(Indian Administrative Service).

If you get approx 50-80 rank in all india, you will get into IFS(Indian Foreign Service).

If you get less then this above 200 rank, then you will get into IPS(Indian Police Service).

As a Job prospective, IAS is better rank and better job for good growth and future.

If you wish you work in abroad, you can choose IFS replace of IAS.

Indian Police Service, Indian Administrative Service and Indian Foreign Service exam is conducted by UPSC through Civil Service exam.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for Civil Service exam exam. Civil Service exam exam doesn't require any percentage marks in graduation degree.

Age criteria:

For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 3
For OBC: 7
For SC/ST: No Restriction

Selection process for Civil Service exam exam:

1)Preliminary test
2)Mains exam
3)Personal interview

hello dear,

Basically UPSC CIVIL SERVICE preliminary examination give or provide opportunity to the candidates apply for IPS,IAS, AND IFS exam.

a common but unique features of the all india services is that the members of these services are recruited by the centre. and of the three all indian services namely the INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE(IAS), INDIAN POLICE SERVICE(IPS), INDIAN FOREST SERVICE(IFS) .

The recruitment to all the three services is made by the UPSC.These officers are recruited and trained by the Central Government, and then allotted to different State cadres.

IAS, IPS or IFS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

IFS stands for Indian Foreign Service

Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.

For apply Civil Services exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.
Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates and 3 years age relaxation for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.
