M Tech Candidates from all over India are selected on the basis of the common entrance exam - GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering )

Eligibility criteria :

1. You have to be a graduate or final year appearing student. You an consider the minimum age to sit for GATE is 21 years.

2. You can take as many attempts you want.

3. You have to score at least 50% or 60% aggregate to get yourself placed in some of the PSU's(depending on their own criteria's)

If you clear this exam, then you can select colleges and universities all over India, to study B. Tech.

IIT Kanpur
IIT Delhi
IIT Kharagpur
IIT Mumbai
and all other IIT's.

NIT's are also considered good, and you require very high percentile, to get a seat in them.

So sit for gate, clear it, and then you can opt for the best available option.
