Brief Details of IIST 2011
Online registration begins from: 8th November 2010 Last date of online Registration: 31st December 2010 Last date of remitting fees: 5th January 2011 Last date of receipt of Institute Copy of Challan: 15th January 2011 First date of displaying status of a candidate: 15th February 2011 Hall Ticket made available on the website for downloading/printing: 20th February 2011 to 31st March 2011 Date of ISAT2011: 16th April 2011 (9.30am to 12.30pm) Announcement of Results and Publication of Rank: May 2011 Whereas for Pattern I had attached the ISAT 2010 papers and Syllabus they will provide you the best details regarding that. ISAT 2011 Online Registration will start from 1st November 2010 . In the academic year 20110-12, admissions to the Undergraduate programme will be through the IIST Admission Test (ISAT-2011). The ISAT 2011 will be conducted on 16th April 2011.

ISAT exam, 2011 exam timing is as follows: Saturday 16th April 2011 – 9.30 to 12.30 ISAT 2011 Exam Pattern: The question paper will be of objective type and will consist of three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Correct answers will be awarded three marks each. Every incorrect answer will be awarded one negative mark. More Details are available at the official website: www.iist.ac.in |

Schedule of ISAT-2011
The examination will be held on Saturday, 16th April, 2011 between 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM (IST) (The schedule will remain unaltered even if the above date is declared a public holiday). ELIGIBILITY FOR ISAT-2011 Candidates must make sure that they satisfy all the eligibility conditions given below for appearing in ISAT-2011: 1. Citizenship Only Indian citizens are eligible to write ISAT-2011. 2. Date of Birth The date of birth of candidates belonging to GEN, OBC categories should be on or after October 1, 1986, while the date of birth of those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories should be on or after October 1, 1981. (The date of birth as recorded in the high school/first Board/ Pre-University certificate/or its equivalent will be accepted). 3. Year of passing Qualifying Examination (QE) A candidate must have passed the QE ( 10 + 2 ) for the first time, in the calendar year 2010 or 2011. Those who are going to appear in the QE after July 1, 2011 or expecting the results of QE later than July 1, 2011 are not eligible to apply for ISAT-2011. 4. Minimum Percentage of Marks in Class X or equivalent examination. Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must secure at least 70% marks in aggregate in their Class X or equivalent examination, while, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their Class X or equivalent examination. 5. Minimum Percentage of Marks in 10 + 2 or equivalent examination Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must secure at least 70% marks in the aggregate in their Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) papers in their QE, while, those belonging to SC,ST and PD categories must secure at least 60% marks in the aggregate in their PCM papers in their QE. 6. RESERVATION OF SEATS As per Government of India rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are: * Scheduled Castes (SC) * Scheduled Tribes (ST) * Other Backward Castes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) * Physically Disabled (PD) candidates.
