Re: JEE Advance rank can be used to get admission in NIT?
CBSE conducts JEE mains and advance examination for admission in IIT and NIT colleges.
In IIT colleges ,students get admission on the basic of JEE Advance rank and In NIT colleges ,students get admission on the basic of JEE Mains rank only. So, if you haven't got good rank in Advance and you wish to take admission in NIT colleges then you have to rely only on JEE Mains rank as mentioned above. If you have applied for colleges like BITS, VIT ,SRM ,Amity and qualified in their entrance examination then it will be better to take admission in these colleges because they rank above NIT colleges in all over ranking in India published by different sources. |

Re: JEE Advance rank can be used to get admission in NIT?
Yes dear you can use your JEE Advanced score to get an admission in NIT's. Since from the changes in the admission system it is notified that the candidate who has got below 15,000 (rank) in JEE advanced are only eligible to apply for NIT for courses of B.TECH, B.Arch etc.,
In India there are about 30 NIT colleges. So if you have a rank below 15,000 then absolutely you will have a chance to apply in any of the NIT colleges. Earlier if you are interested in IIT's , then JEE Advanced score is enough where as for NIT's JEE Main score is enough. But according to the changed pattern you have to get a good rank in JEE Advanced for an admission into the NIT's. Hope this information will clarify your doubts. JEE Advanced examinations results were released on " 24/05/2015 " . |

Re: JEE Advance rank can be used to get admission in NIT?
Previously there were two different examinations to get into IIT and NIT namesd as JEE and AIEEE but now a days there is only one common exam named as JEE. So yes of course if you do not get admission in IIT with JEE rank you can use that rank for taking admission in a reputed NIT.

Re: JEE Advance rank can be used to get admission in NIT?
No, you cannot get admission in NITs on the basis of your JEE advanced rank.
The admission into NITs is totally dependent on the JEE mains score. So, you have to score well in the JEE mains to get a seat in any NIT |
