Some US Universities offer schlarship for statistics graduate studies. I would believe the same thing for economics postgraduate studies. I personally suggest that you should not go for economics for it is not easy to find a job as an economist. In fact the demand for economist is lower at present compared to other fields of study and will stay like that in future.
