i have completed my 12th standard. iam in confusion about my future studies. can i join cbi or cid after 12th?

For joining CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation), you will not be eligible to join it just after 12th.

The minimum qualification required for joining CBI is that you must at least be holding a graduation degree in any field. Only after completing your graduation you will be eligible to join CBI.

To join CBI you have to appear for the exam Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam conducted by SSC Board every year.

Your age should be in between 20 years to 27 years. There is an age relaxation for OBC for 3 years and for SC/ST for 5 years.

As you are only 12th Passed Student and wanted to Join CBI then you need to have Graduation first with Criminology Course.

To Get into CBI Field Eligibility Conditions are

1). Educational Qualification :- For making Yourself Eligible For CBI You must be Graduation courses in Criminology . For Graduation in Criminology in Different University in India you must be 12th passed.

2). Syllabus: The syllabus for a course in Criminology usually includes - Principles of Criminology, Psychology of Crime, Criminal Law, Police Administration, Forensic Science and Medicine, Juvenile Delinquency, Correctional Management and Rehabilitation of Criminals etc.

4). Exam to be Written:- You need to write UPSC Exam in order to Join CBI.

friend for recruitment to cbi/cid u have to sit for state level exams or ssc where the min. qualification is graduation hence u could not join cbi/cid after passing your +2.hence complete ur grad. first and then apply in cbi/cid.

after completion of 10+2 you are not eligible for CBI exam.

Because For CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) exam your Minimum Qualification need Graduation in any Discipline.

And Your age should be in between 20 to 27 years.

CID:Criminal Investigation Department

=> You are passing 12th commerce ,after this you are join in the CID office ,in your qualification you are apply for the post of constable in the CID.The age criteria is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

=> Physical requirements you need height minimum --165 cm AND and chest -- 76 cms.

CBI posts are:-

Eligibility for CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) examinations: -

1. For Sub Inspector = Pass graduation in any subject from a regonised institute / university.
a. Age = 18 Years to 25 Years
b. Height = minimum 5’ 6″
c. Chest = 32′ (Normal) and after expanding 34'

2. For Assistant Public Prosecutor = Pass LL.B.(Law) from a regonised institute / university with minimum 5 years of experience.

3. For Senior Public Prosecutor = Pass graduation in LAW from a regonised institute / university with minimum 10 years of experience.

How to join CBI / CID or Procedure to join CBI / CID: -

No, my friend after completion of 12th only you will not be eligible for appearing in CBI exam..

To appear in CBI exam the minimum qualification is one have to complete the graduation in any trade..

Age eligibility:-
Candidates age should be in between 18-25 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

This is the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill..
So, first complete your graduation then go for CBI/CID exam..

Hi, to join CBI, you should have completed your degree of any stream from a recognized university. And after your graduation to join CBI, you should mandatorily pass the UPSC exams, and the age should be between 21 and 30.

To join in CBI which is a government Crime Branch department. For joining in CBI you must appear in an exam named CGPE(Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam) conducted by UPSC. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) examination usually in the month of February.

Eligibility for Central Bureau of Investigation Exam 2011: -

1. Qualifications: - Degree of a regonised University or equivalent.

2. Age Limit: - 20 - 25 years.

3. Selection Procedure 2011: - Selection based on Written Test, Personal Interview and According to Rule and Regulation of the Govt of India.

4.examination will be conducted in 2 parts
