Central Bureau of Investigation is looking for serving and retired police officers in the rank of inspector or above for appointment to the position of Parivi Officers on contract basis. Some of the details of the notification issued by CBI for this position are given below:

Number of Vacancies: Total number of Vacancies is 71, which is divided as follows among the different locations of the country

• EO Zone, Delhi – 17 (Delhi – 15, Jaipur – 02)

• Mumbai Zone-II – 02 (Ahmedabad)

• Mumbai Zone-I – 07 (Mumbai – 03, Nagpur – 01, Amravati – 01, Pune – 01, Goa – 01)

• Bhopal Zone – 03 (Bhopal – 01, Jabalpur – 01 and Raipur – 01)

• Lucknow Zone – 06 (Lucknow – 04, Ghaziabad – 02)

• Hyderabad Zone – 08 (Hyderabad – 03, Visakhapatnam – 02, Bangalore – 02, Dharwad – 01)

• Chandigarh Zone – 03 (Jammu – 01, Shimla -01, Ambala/Punchkula – 01)

• Patna Zone – 09 (Patna – 03, Ranch – 02, Dhanbad – 04)

Period of Contract: The period of contract will be initially for one year and this is extendable upto three years.

Remuneration: Candidates appointed for the position of Pairvi Officers will get a consolidated remuneration of Rs.40,000 per month.

Eligibility Details:

To apply for the position of Pairvi Officers, candidates must be retired officers of the state/central police forces in the rank of inspector or above with 10 years of experience in prosecution or investigation of criminal cases in the court of law. The employment of the candidates will be on full-time basis and therefore they cannot take any part-time employment during the contract period.
