Sorry to say that you are not applicable for NDA exam because you are now in 11th standard.

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year.

The candidate must have a complete the 12th from a recognized university Or equivalent qualification are applicable for NDA exam.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th examination can also apply for the examination.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.

You must have Citizenship of India.

NDA stands for the National Defense Academy. Its an Entrance examination which is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) which is for the recruitment of the candidates in the Indian Defense like Army, Navy and the Air Force.

Now if anybody wants to sit for this exam, then he has to satisfy the following Eligibility Conditions :-


1. One should be an unmarried Male Indian Citizen.

2. The age of the applicant should be between 16.5 years to 19 years as in the year of applying.

3. The applicant should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board in India. No minimum percentage is required as such.

4. One should have studied Physics and Maths compulsorily to apply in the Indian Air Force or Navy.

5. Physical fitness is also a must.


So now sir coming to your query, If your son is in 11th class right now. He is not eligible to apply for the NDA exam.

Once he passes class 12th, then only he would be able to apply for this.

Anyways, the NDA Application procedure for this year is completely over. The notification was out out on 31st December 2011, and the last date to apply was 30th January 2012.

The NDA 2012 exam is scheduled on 15th April 2012 which is a Sunday.


So you have to apply next year for this exam.

I am sorry to say that you son is one eligible for N.D.A while pursuing 12th class..
N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying N.D.A exam you can join Defence services like:-
> Army
> Air Force
> Navy

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with recognized university
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

The last date for application for NDA I exam is already passed. It was 30th January.

However, according to the tentative calendar of UPSC, the notification for NDA II should be issued by 5th May with last date for receipt of applications as 4th June and exam on 19th August.

Dear Aspirant,


You seems must be looking for the next year , yes you can appear after passing 12th successfully.

There will not be any issue of percentage you score in class 12th but 12th must be cleared before appearing in NDA.

NDA (National Defence Academy ) involves admit to

• Indian Army
• Indian Air Force
• Indian Navy

What you want to opt is absolutely your choice but as far as PCM you had in 11th so by stream level you will be eligible.

Still , there are lots more area for Eligibility.

NDA- NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA -I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass from a recognised Central/State Board in any stream within the age group of 16.5 to 19 years of age with good physical fitness.

The last date to apply NDA-I has already been over, the exam will be held on 15.04.2012. So if you are interested you may apply for the NDA-II, the notification of which will come out in the month of May 2012 followed by exam in the month of August 2012.

I am sorry to say that you can't apply in N.D.A(I) because last date of submission of form is over If you want you can apply N.D.A(II)..
