LIC Development Officers Exam Eligibility Criteria
LIC or Life Insurance Corporation of India conducts Development Officers exam to recruit aspirants as Development Officers of LIC. This post belongs to Class II Officer Category. The appointments of development officers are usually made at the divisional offices of LIC. Only candidates with a bachelor degree can apply for LIC Development Officers Exam. The bachelor degree can be in any of the subjects Arts, Science, Commerce or Agriculture. Candidates with bachelor degree in Law from an Indian or Foreign University or an equivalent qualification can also apply for LIC Development Officers Exam.
Qualifying Examinations for LIC Development Officers Exam
The selection of candidates for the appointment as Development Officers is through LIC Development Officers Exam. The exam for LIC Development Officers Exam is usually held in the month of September and the dispatch of application forms begins by the month of July.
Age Qualification for LIC Development Officers Exam
The aspirants of LIC Development Officers Exam must have completed the age of 21. The upper age limit for LIC Development Officers Exam is 30. Candidates coming under reservation category can have age relaxation as per rules. Those candidates coming under SC/ST can have age relaxation up to 5 years where as OBC candidates can have up to 3 years of age relaxation.
Who can apply for LIC Development Officers Exam?
The aspirant who wants to attend LIC Development Officers Exam must be a Citizen of India. Foreign nationals also have the eligibility to apply for the exam. Only graduates from a recognized University have the eligibility to apply to the post of LIC Development Officer.
Eligibility Criteria to pass LIC Development Officers Exam
The exam scheme for LIC Development Officers Exam consists of two sections. The first level is a written test and second level is the personal interview. The written exam for LIC Development Officers Exam is an objective type test that comprises of 200 questions. There will be 4 sections each comprising of 50 questions. These 4 sections include questions on English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General awareness. Each question carries 1 mark and 1/4 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. These questions have to be answered in 2 hours. There will be separate cut off marks for each section. So the aspirant has to clear each section to get qualify the written exam. Short listed candidates who qualify the written exam has to attend the second level interview .The performance in this section also determines the final selection.
