Its me Padmalatha G V,I passed my B Com degree in the year 1995 and passed Master of Library and Information Science course in the year 1998. Now iam working as information officer at National Gallery of Modern Art, Bangalore on contract basis.
Now i would like to change the post,I have interested in taking exams to get govt jobs, no my age is 37 as per SSLC Marks card.Please suggest me the exams and also send me the list of exams of the current year.

If you are under the age of 30 years then there are plenty of exams for you. It would be possible to apply for Civil Service Exam or Bank PO Exam as well. But perhaps the best option for you being a post graduate would be National Eligibility Test.


If you are interested in becoming college lecturer then National Eligibility Test would be a great option that you should seriously consider. You are meeting all the criteria to apply for the NET Exam.


For other exams I mentioned you don't really need to have post graduation degree. A candidate with bachelor degree can also apply but for NET exam one should have post graduation degree. Therefore I would say you should go for NET entrance exam


National Eligibility Test for NET is conducted by the University Grants Commission. This exam is conducted two times in a single year.


Here is the eligibility criteria.


1. You must be of Indian origin.

2. Minimum of post graduation degree from UGC recognized university.

3. At least 55 percent marks in master degree.

4. SC/ST need 50 percent marks.

5. There should be no pending backlogs.

6. Final year students may also apply.

7. You must select NET subject relevant to post graduation course.

8. There is no limit on number of attempts.

9. The age limit to appear for JRF is 28 years.

10. There is no upper age limit for college lectureship.
