I want to study law throug distance learning. I want name of institutes which are running this course.

LLB in distance is not worthy if u pursue LLB through distance learning because that degree is not eligible for "legal practice in a court of law".To pursue a degree in law, one has to pass his 10+2 examination or an examination equivalent to that. Please advice law courses offered through distance learning program degree certificate are recognized in all board 'granted in case of job and can I practice in any court

If you are serious about the law degree and want to become lawyer then forget about doing LLB through correspondence or distance education.

In India the LLB course is not offered by any college through correspondence or distance education. The reason is that Bar Council of India denies colleges from doing so.

Although still several colleges offer a law degree through distance education. But unfortunately this course is not recognized by Bar Council of India.

While you can go for this course, it has not benefits. You can not become lawyer with this course. Since the distance education degree is not recognized by the Bar Council of India, it is not possible to practice as lawyer with such degree.

So distance education Law course is not worth the money and hard work that you will put in it. I will suggest that you go for the regular degree for LLB.

There are very good colleges in India that offers 3 years LLB through regular mode. Delhi University is one such example. Other would be Banaras Hindu University or ILS Law College.

You should consider taking admission in these colleges. The admission is given in some colleges like Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University through entrance exam while some colleges offer admission purely on merit.


LLB Eligibility

1. The candidate should be graduate to apply for 3 years course.

2. 45 to 50 percent marks will be required.

3. SC/ST will get 5% relaxation in percentage.

4. While in Delhi University, there is no criteria of percentage for SC/ST.

5. The age limit is 30 years set by the Bar Council of India.

6. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

Dear Friend,

The Acronym "LLB" stands for Bachelor Of Law. Those candidates who want to become Lawyer in their life go for the LLB Course.

The Qualifications Required for LLB Course are :

* The candidate must have completed graduation from any recognized college/university.

* The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in graduation.

* Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST Candidates.

* No Relaxation in marks is given to OBC Candidates.

* The Age Limit for LLB Course is 20-30 years as set by the Bar Council Of India.

* Relaxation of 3 years in upper age is given to OBC Candidates.

* Relaxation of 5 years in upper age is given to SC/ST Candidates.

* The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Now coming back to your query, as far as i am concerned , there is no value/importance of LLB degree through Distance mode as the Bar Council Of India does not give recognition to degrees secured through distance Mode.

So , if you are serious about LLB Course and want to pursue , then i would suggest you to pursue this course through regular mode.

Bachelor degree Course is the Basic Qualification to apply for LLB Course. The Minimum Percentage of marks is differ from College to College. Every LLB Institution requires Minimum 50% Percentage of marks. So, If you score more than 50% Percentage of marks than definitely you may get admission for LLB Course .

LLB Stands for Bachelor of Law. The duration of the course is three years and the course is divided into six semester. There are lot of colleges in India offers this LLB Course.

Eligibility Criteria required for LLB Course:-

LLB Course is open only those, who have passed in Graduation course in any discipline from recognized university may eligible for LLB Course for recognized university.

But, You're interested to apply for LLB Course in Distance mode. So, Graduation course is enough to apply for this LLB Course in distance mode.

There is no age limit to apply for LLB Course. Any age candidate who satisfy the age limit age eligible to apply for this Entrance Examination.

Some, recognized university/Colleges in India requires minimum 50% Percentage of marks in graduation course and 45% Percentage of marks for who are belong from sc/st candidates.
