Dear friend,

You are interested to know about the colleges for Lateral Entry. It means you have completed Diploma course in Engineering. For choosing computer Engineering in B.tech you should have completed Diploma course in Computer Engineering. As you have completed Diploma course in Engineering so you are eligible to take admission in second year of b.Tech course through Lateral Entry. Now you become eligible to get admission in second year of B.tech directly just after completing diploma course. You don't have to study first year of B.Tech course.

In order to get admission in second year of b.tech course you have to appear in LEET (Lateral Entry Engineering Test). This exam is conducted for the selection of candidates for the admission in top colleges like DCE, PEC, NITs etc in B.Tech course directly in second year. This is one of the most important entrance exam for the candidates who have completed diploma course. Through this exam you get the chance to study in top colleges of engineering like NITs, DCE etc.

There are various colleges in India which offers admission to candidates through Lateral Entry. For getting admission in these colleges the only exam in which you have to appear is LEET exam. Colleges of each state conducts their own entrance exam which they named LEET exam.

Eligibility Criteria for LEET Exam:-

1)- You should have completed diploma course in any stream of engineering.
2)- You should have minimum 50% marks in Diploma course.
3)- You should not have any pending backlog in the diploma course.

Paper-II : Contain 90 questions in the relevant engineering branch subject.
