My son passed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with73% (2009) however he could not get admission into direct second year engineering through CAP that year, hence he joined first year Mechanical engineering that year to keep continuty, this year he gave second year (4th Sem) exams but he is not sure of clearing one paper of first year (2nd Sem) engineeing.

if he does not clear his first year paper he will not be allowed to get into third year though he pass all papers of second year, can he claim exemption of his first year papers to get into third year.

Please let me know the procedure to claim exemption of first year paper at this time to get into third year.
