I finished my degree in Animation and visual effects and I want to go for higher studies in UK so is this degree given by Mahatma Gandhi University valid or not? Can someone please give me the right information? Hope that I will get the answer soon. Thanks!

yes it's a Recognised University but degree offered through distance mode outside Meghalaya State are not valid as per State Jurisdiction rule of UGC.
