Dear friend yes Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya recognized by DEC and approved by UGC.

Mahatma Gandhi University is empowered to award degree as specified by the University Grants Commission(UGC) under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956.

Mahatma Gandhi University is approved by Distance Education Council(DEC) and also approved by AICTE.

Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya has established a study centre in The Gambia, West Africa. But I came across worrying facts that MGU is not empowered to establish study centres outside of Meghalaya.

Is this true?...
