UGC stands for University Grant Commission whereas, UGC NET is National Eligiblity Test conducted by University Grant Commission for assessing candidates eligibility to apply for the position of Lecturer in Universities and Colleges in India.
So, as far as recognition is concerned, Manav Bharati University is recognized by University Grant Commission and having qualified Masters Degree program in English from this university definitely makes one eligible to appear for National Eligibility Test as well as other entrance examination conducted for non-technical departments under the State or the Central Government of India.
In order to be considered eligible for the National Eligibility Test, you will have to score a minimum of 55% marks in the masters degree examination. However, if you belong to SC/ST category, you may take the test even after scoring 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
