The Manav Bharati University, Solan, is recognized by the University Grant Commission.

In order to be eligible for the Phd programs offered by the University, candidate must have completed the Post Graduate Degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks[50% for the reserved candidates]. Admission are based on entrance examination conducted by the University twice a year [June and December].

Candidates who have qualified NET or SET or GATE or JRF or GPAT are exempted from the entrance examination.Same applies for candidate who hold a M.Phil. degree.

After the successful completion of the evaluation process and announcements of the award of Ph.D., the University will issue a certificate, certifying that the Degree has been awarded in accordance with Regulations issued by UGC.
