Re: Is Mathematics necessary for CA? What is the percentage required in 12th standard?
It is not at all necessary to take Mathematics in class 12th for doing chartered accountancy course.
But yes student should be good in mathematics level of up to 8/10th class . Chartered Accountancy course can be easily done very well by a student who has good understanding of 9/10th class mathematics concept . First step is to register your self in CPT level of the Chartered Accountancy. Examinations of the course are conduct twice a year in may and june. Admission is open through out the year. These courses have centers all over India , you can take all the required information from these centers . MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY for (CPT Level) Chartered Accountancy Course 10+2 passed or equivalent qualification. There are 3 stages in CA • FOUNDATION (CPT Level) • EXECUTIVE • FINAL Examinations of the course are conduct twice a year in may and june. Admission is open through out the year. These courses have centers all over India , you can take all the required information from these centers . For more information WEBSITE CA - www.icai.org |

No Maths is not a compulsory subject for joining CA course. If you don't have Mathematics subject in 12th then also you can apply for CA course. As we know that student of any stream can join CA course so without Mathematics you are eligible to join CA course. But you should have basic knowledge of Mathematics subject. If you don't have basic knowledge of Mathematics then you have to face various difficulties in solving accounting questions. Chartered Accountancy is conducted by ICAI. ICAI stands for Institute of Chartered Accountant of India. ICAI has its branches in all over India. This course is mostly preferred by commerce stream candidates. There are three stages in this course:-
The first stage of CA course is CPT. CPT stands for Common proficiency Test . This Examination is conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountant of India. It is an Entry level course for CA course. After passing 12th class you can apply for this exam. There is no cut off marks for applying this course. Students who have just passed 12th class can also apply for CA course. Those who have completed Graduation can directly apply for Executive program or Intermediate course. You don't have to study foundation course if you have Bachelor's degree in any stream. For commerce stream candidates minimum marks should be 55% in Graduation for non-commerce stream candidates minimum marks should be 60% in Graduation. After passing Executive program you become eligible to apply for Final course . After completing Final course you have to undergo for an Training for 15 months in reputed companies . Subjects in CA course:- PE-I * Fundamentals of Accounting * Mathematics and Statistics * Economics * Business Communication and Organisation and Management PE - II Group I * Accounting * Auditing * Business and Corporate Laws Group II * Fundamentals of Financial Management and Costing * Income Tax and Central Sales Tax * Information Technology Final Examination : Group I * Advanced Accounting * Advanced Financial Management * AdvancedAdvanced Auditing * Corporate Laws and Secretarial Practice Group II * Cost Management * Management Information and Control System * Direct Taxes * Indirect Taxes |

Re: Is Mathematics necessary for CA? What is the percentage required in 12th standard?
hello
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) offers the Chartered Accountancy Course in India. There are two ways to get admsision for Chartered Accountacy Course. Firstly you can do so by appearing for CPT test for which you must have passed at least 10th standard. However there is also a direct entry for those with graduation degree. I will explain everything in details below. First thing you should know is that Chartered Accountacy course has 3 stages. These stages are: 1. Common Proficiency Test (CPT) 2. Integrated Professional Competancy Test (IPPC) 3. Final Course Let's take a look into each stage one by one. Common Proficiency Test (CPT) The first stage of Chartered Accountacy course bascially in a written test. The exam is called Common Proficiency Test (CPT). Anyone interested in CA has to clear the CPT exam. CPT is 200 marks paper and you require 50 percentage or 100 marks to clear it. 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude Integrated Professional Competancy Test (IPCC) Second stage of the CA is Integrated Professional Competancy Test (IPCC). There are two ways to get admission for IPCC. We have already discussed the first method in which you need to clear the CPT test with at least 50 percent marks. However due to recent changes made by the IACI, candidates can skip the CPT exam and seek direct admission for IPCC. But to do so, you need to meet these requiements: 1. Must have passed B.Com with 55 percent marks. 2. Candidates who have completed other graduation course may also apply but need 60 percent marks. Group 1 1. Accounting 2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication 3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 4. Taxation Group 2 5. Advanced Accounting 6. Auditing and Assurance 7. Information Technology and Strategic Management Final Course The most difficult part of the CA course in the final course. There is no direct entry for Final Course. You will have to pass the stage 2 which is IPCC. The Final Course is divided into two groups. Group 1 1. Financial Reporting 2. Strategic Financial Management 3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics 4. Corporate and Allied Laws Group 2 5. Advanced Management Accounting 6. Information System control and Audit 7. Direct Tax Laws 8. indirect tax Laws The eligibility criteria for appearing in CA CPT exam. 1. You must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent, from any recognized Board. 2. If you have passed B.Com, M.Com, LLB, ICWA, CS or MBA at the first attempt that also means that you are eligible to apply. 3. Even if you appearing in your final year of the qualifying examination in your degree you are eligible to apply. so all the best |
