what is maximum age limit to appear in neet after12?

my age is 19 years can i appear for neet exam

NEET stands for National Eligibility Entrance Exam. Next upcoming NEET exam will be held in the month of May 2013.
And application will be available in November 2012.You can get a admission NEET exam through so first of all you fulfill in this criteria are given below.

Eligibility criteria :-

You should be 12th with PCB 60% marks.

Your age limit should be 17 to 25 years.

NEET exam carried out Fill MBBS vacant seats in Medical colleges .

some relaxation provide reserved category.

Those candidate should be complete these requirement then eligible for NEET entrance exam..

Medical council of India has proposed a common entrance test for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

NEET -National Eligibility Entrance Examination

NEET will be the common entrance exam for MBBS for 2013.

Exam date

The tentative exam date for NEET is 5th May 2013.

Eligibility criteria for NEET-

12th class with minimum of 50% in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board before admission.

Minimum age is 17 years.

Exam Pattern -

There are three papers of total 250 questions-

1. Physics - 75 questions

2. Chemistry - 75 questions

3. Biology - 100 questions

To appear in this NEET Entrance examination than the applicant than age should Minimum 17 years at the time appear in Entrance Examination ..

So, If your Below in between 17 years than your eligible for NEET Entrance Examination ..and Upper age relaxation will applicable for SC/ST candidates and obc candidates ..

Exam pattern :

NEET examination Time will be of 3 hours(180 minutes) in which 3 sections need to be completed.

NEET is the newly introduced entrance exam by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development. It has replaced all the existing entrance exams conducted for MBBS and BDS.

Now all the state level entrance exams as well government entrance exams have been replaced with NEET. There are two types of NEET entrance exam. One is UG NEET which is for BDS and MBBS while second is PG NEET which is conducted for MDS and MD courses.

Apart from NEET there is only one exam remained which is conducted by the AIIMS. The NEET can not replace AIIMS entrance exam until the approval of the parliament which is why AIIMS continues to conduct its separate entrance exam.


NEET Eligibility Criteria

1. You must finish 12th standard from recognized board.

2. Physics, Chemistry, Biology should be the subjects.

3. 50 percent marks in 12th are required.

4. The minimum age limit is 17 years to appear for exam.

5. Upper age limit for 15% All India Quota seats is 25 years.

6. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC.

7. There is no upper age limit for State quota seats.

NEET exams are conducted by CBSE

Eligibility to apply for the NEET exams are as below:

Education:
12th Pass with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in subjects Phy, Chemistry and Biology and passing marks in English

AGE- Minimum 17 years

Exam will be held in just one stage.

~Those who are in class 12 and about to sit for their board exam or awaiting the result of their board exam can also give this exam.

~You cannot apply for this exam unless and until you turn 17 years of age. There is upper age limit relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates there is 5 years age relaxation.

~Questions will come from these subjects-physics, chemistry, biology and zoology. In total 180 questions will be asked which means 45 questions from each section. The total paper has to be completed in three hours and there is negative marking too.

For NEET you must be above 17 years of age and should have the required educational qualification.

10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% marks from a recognized Board of Education is the required qualification for NEET.

For All India Quota seats which is 15% of total seats the upper age limit is set to 25 years.

For State level seats there is no upper age limit for NEET.

Hence it is clear that there is no upper age limit for it and you should be above 17 years to apply for it.

Also those who belong to reserved category will get age relaxation according to the government rules.

Exam Pattern:

There will be objective type questions related to Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The total questions will be 180 and you will be given 3 hours for it.

Physics and Chemistry will have 45 questions and Biology will have 90 questions. So it is clear that you must be good in Biology because it will increase your chances of getting a good rank.

To be eligible for NEET Exam You must completed 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.

The upper age limit for a candidate seeking admission under 15% All India Quota seats in Government Medical Colleges through National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.

Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing in the NEET for State Quota seats. However, admission shall be subject to the prevailing norms in each State/UT.
