Getting a low score in MAT does not restrict you to refrain from joining good colleges. At the outset let me tell you that if there are many colleges which accept right from a score of 500 and above. So do not panic. I can guide you more specifically if you could tell what is your exact score so that there would be clarity for you and for the other readers who can also benefit from it.

you have many options other than top 10 B-schools for management.

You can Get a Lot of college for MBA, first of all you have to decide the location, where you want to study, Bcoz through MAT a list has prescribed in the booklet for MBA colleges.

you can get direct admission in any uptu or ptu college.no matter what is your mat score.dont worry about ur score. Best of luck for your bright career

You can apply to colleges in kolkata like THE HERITAGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY , it offers both full time as well as part time mba course programme. Full time is for 2 years and part time is for 3 years. The telephone number of institute is 033-24430450.

there are some b.school who are accepting admission by scoring less percentile in mat but they will demand more money to admission.so,try to get more percentile in mat to doing MBA. at last all the best

If you wish to join any of the reputed institutes then you must have a good score. With a low score certainly securing admission in any of these institutes will not be possible. It is therefore advisable for you to reappear for the exam. It will be better if you prepare well this time. Since you are now aware of the requirements you must prepare accordingly.

Just wait some time and write next MAT exam ,
It is my suggestion score good in MAT there after prepare
your self for group discussion and personnel interview ..
in this present time more than 1000 MBA college exist so you have only one option crack the MAT and score good there so
you will get admission in good MBA college
so prepare hard friend take care of MATH as well as English

Why don't you try once more if your score is too low.. Or you should search for b schools where MAT scores are not considered.

If you are having score below 500, then better option will be a retrial or if it is above 600 then you can try in Simon or baruch college

MAT stands for MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST and this test is conducted for the admission of candidates for the MBA programmes in some of the colleges which accept the MAT score.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a National Entrance Test conducted by All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS).

AIMA-MAT is conducted 4 times a year: in February, May, September and December.

To be eligible to apply for the MAT exam you must have done graduation or in the final year of graduation in any field from any recognized University.

THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION IS:

This exam called MAT has 5 Sections:

1. Quantitative Ability
2. Reading Comprehension
3. Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency
4. Logical Reasoning
5. General Knowledge

Total number of questions: 200; 40 in each section and Duration of the MAT: 150 minutes and there is negative marking of 0.25 for the wrong answers and 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

MAT Important Dates:::

• Date Of the Exam(Paper-Based): 5th February, 2012 (Sunday); 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
• Date Of the Exam (Computer-Based): 11th February, 2012.
• Last Date to Apply: 14th January, 2012
