In Tripura, MCA is not considered as a master degree course, what about outside of Tripura? Is an MCA eligible to face GATE exam?

yes a MCA is duly eligible for appearing in GATE exam. Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes are duly eligible to appear in exams.
