In Tripura, MCA is not considered as a master degree course, what about outside of Tripura? Is an MCA eligible to face GATE exam?

yes a MCA is duly eligible for appearing in GATE exam. Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes are duly eligible to appear in exams.

Sorry, you are not applicable for gate examination. This examination is held once in a year for admission into master in engineering or technology courses. Only those who have passed bachelor in engineering or pursing final year in that course are eligible for this examination. Many of the public sector units also consider gate score for recruitment of employees.

You are eligible for csir net examination. This examination is held twice a year for lectureships eligibility and ph.d admission.
