Merchant Navy after 10th exams from UP Board with 70% marks?
i want to ask that can i join merchant navy after clearing my tenth board examinations from u.p. board with 70 % marks

yes it is possible to join merchant navy after 10th BUT not as officer !!
you can join as a RATING(a sailor who holds neither commissioned nor warrant rank; an ordinary seaman). You will need to complete some pre-sea course from an recognized institute to become a rating. LIST of Government Training Institute which provide training of international standards:- i. Training Ship Chanakya, Navi Mumbai. ii. Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Kolkata. iii. Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Mumbai. iv. Lal Bahadur Shastri College of advanced Maritime Studies and Research, Mumbai. NOTE : To join as an officer , 10+2 with PCM is the minimum qualification !!! |

yeah you can join Merchant Navy in Siroi Maritime Academy of Merchant Navy right after 10th. It is the most reliable Merchant Navy INstitute and you can believe it for placement also in Foreign Going Ships.

To become a merchant navy officer, one needs to be atleast 10+2 or a diploma holder...but you must
have scored more than 60% in PCM in 12th board...............so if you want to go for MERCHANT navy you can......... as you have good percentage..in 10th but you need to complete your 12th with above specification then only you can join Merchant nave!! There will be 2 year course for Diploma Holders and successful completion you will be join merchant in either of departments

Indian Navy SSC Officers Eligibility Criteria : Age – Those who wish to apply can do so if they are between the age group of 19-24 years. Physical Standards – The height of the students applying for this should be at least 157 cms in males & 152 cms in females with corresponding weights. The eye sight can be 6/24 with correctable to 6/6 with glasses. Candidates with color / night blindness can not apply. Education – The candidates must have done engineering from AICTE approved institution / Colleges with minimum 60% aggregate marks. For Engineering Branch, only men with Mechanical / Marine / Aeronautical / Production / Metallurgy can apply. For Electrical Branch, only men with Electrical/ Electronics/ Tele Communication / Instrumentation / Instrumentation and Control / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication/ Power Engineering / Control System Engineering / Power Electronics/ Computer Science Engineering are eligible. For Naval Architecture Cadre, candidates with Naval Architecture/ Civil/ Mechanical/ Metallurgy/ Aeronautical can apply. In General service and Logistics Cadre, BE/ B.Tech. in Mechanical/ Marine/ Aeronautical/ Production/ Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology/ Control/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication is required. Indian Navy SSC Officers Application form Submission : Those interested has to submit the form in the prescribed format & send it to the mentioned address by ordinary post only. Indian Navy SSC Officers Selection Procedure : Those who are selected by the eligibility will be called for the campus interview at centres notified by the IHQ –MoD Command Headquarters. Hi.
In Merchant navy field you have two streams: Marine Nautical Eligibility: Both unmarried male and female candidates are eligible. You should not be more than 20 years. If you are SC/ST you have a relaxation of age by 5 years. Qualifications: You should be a 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized board. Subjects should be mathematics and physics. Good luck! |

Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Mumbai
conducts courses for Graduate engineers. It is a 1 year pre - sea training for the post of Junior engineers. The eligibility for this training is that you must have compleated your Bachelors of engineering degree in either mechanical engineering or naval architecture from a recognised institute. |
