Quote:
There are no such marks criteria for applicants to apply for GATE exam. The only criterion is that only final year students or B.Tech Passed students are eligible for GATE examination. GATE score is also helpful for applying jobs in various public sector units in India. So, start preparing for GATE exam if you really want to go for M.Tech from IIT. |

Re: Minimum percentage required in B.Tech to do M.Tech from IIT
Hello raj,
I am glad to see that you wanna go for the M.Tech course from an Indian Institute of Technology after completion of your B.Tech. The reason is because most of the candidates who are pursuing B.Tech dont even think of M.Tech coz they think that they should get a job in any company ASAP after the completion of the Bachelors Degree course. So, In order to get admission in either IITs or NITs to pursue M.Tech after B.Tech you need to qualify the GATE Exam. GATE Stands for Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering. This Test is conducted every year by the IITs for candidtes aspiring to pursue M.Tech course after B.tech from institutes like IIT, NIT or BITS-Pilani. But wanna tell you that GATE is not an easy exam to crack. You need to secure a minimum of 60% percentile in order to get enrolled for the M.Tech course. This is the information I have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

In this way, keeping in mind the end goal to get confirmation in either IITs or NITs to seek after M.Tech after B.Tech you have to qualify the GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Exam. Door Stands for Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering(GATE). This Test is directed each year by the IITs for candidates seeking to seek after M.Tech course after B.tech from foundations like IIT, NIT or BITS-Pilani.
