First question: how many marks should I get in 2nd year / 12th Intermediate examination to be eligible for CA CPT?

Second question: how many years would take for completion of CA if started immediately after Intermediate?

The minimum eligibility criteria to become a Chartered Accountant(CA) is :

• The candidate must be passed in 10+2 examination from a recognized board.

There are three phases during CA course:

1. Foundation course (CA CPT)
2. Intermediate Course(IPCC)
3. Final course

You must score 50% in all three phases to clear the exam.
After passing 10+2 exam regardless how much marks you scored, you become eligible to register for CPT.
Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entrance test conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). You must register 60 days (or 2 months) prior to appearing for the exam.
After qualify the CPT, you become eligible to register for Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) which is followed by different courses such as Management Course, Computer Training, Artcileship Training etc. It takes around 3 years to complete.
After this, you appear for Final course.

Note:
If it is assumed that the candidate clear all the exams in first attempt then it will take around 4 years to become a CA.

You only have to pass the 12th exam and register yourself to CPT which is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India.

It takes 4.5 years to become CA in first attempt.

CPT - 1/2 year
IPCC - 1 year
CA Final (including articleship) - 3 years
Total - 4.5 years

This is assuming that one passes all the levels in first attempt and takes up the articleship right after passing CA intermediate.
