TNPSC VAO Exam Details:

TNPSC VAO Eligibility Criteria:

~To sit for this exam you need to have a secondary school leaving certificate. In other words you need to be a 10th pass out. If you have higher qualifications it will be considered only when you have this certificate to show.

~Your age should not be less than 21 years when applying for this exam. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 30 years.

~There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For SC/ST and other such reserved category candidates the upper age limit is 40 years.

~You should be well versed in Tamil language because you will be posted in the villages of Tamilnadu where the local language of people is this. This is an important criteria for selection.

~Only physically fit candidates will be allowed to give this exam therefore to prove your medical fitness you need to show medical certificates to the authorities concerned at the time of exam.

~The selection procedure is entirely based on the written examination. Apart from this the district you have selected or the reservation of the district in question is also taken into consideration.

~The exam comprises of one single paper where there will be two subjects to answer: General Knowldege and General Tamil/General English. There will be 200 questions to answer in three hours time. Out of the total marks allotted you need to get 90 marks to qualify.
