My AIEEE ranks are given below can you inform me ,where shall i get the admission in nit colleges in India my ranks in AIEEE are as follows.can you please define the difference between overall and category rank.

All India Rank
Overall 66598 ------
Category 47869 ------
State Rank
Overall 8996 ------
Category 6155 ------

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for the any N.I.T after scoring 66598 rank in A.I.E.E.E.
For admissions in any N.I.T your all India rank should be minimum 20,000 or bellow.
In my opinion you should try next time so that you may get selection among top N.IT college. otherwise You can take admissions in any private college.

To be very frank, 66598 is too low a rank to fetch you a seat in any of the NIT's across the country.

NIT stands for the National Institutes of Technology and they are amongst the best engineering colleges in the country.

So the NIT's fill up their seats with the AIEEE ranks which is conducted by the CBSE.

So at maximum all the NIT's are filled up within ranks 1-15,000 in the AIEEE.

Since you rank is way behind, you will not get any seat in any good college.
It would be better if you try next year in AIEEE 2012, or start looking for the private Universities.
