Default Re: Is NIT a good college for B.Arch? Best colleges in Punjab or Northern India

NIT’s or any engineering college having B.Arch course are not good choice for B.Arch for following reasons.
1. Their placement record available on their websites is pathetic. Not more than 1 or 2 persons have been placed every year.
2. Their curriculum is also not in line with most of the professional architecture colleges.
3. Faculty employed is very less as compared to Professional architecture colleges and is shared by Civil department in these colleges.
4. Location of these NIT’s with B.Arch are not at happening places of infrastructure growth and students really struggle for their internships and end up doing only research projects with professors rather than practical and professional exposure.

I would advise to for architectural colleges at happening places in big Metros and go for NIT Trichy, Calicut or BIT Mesra as recommended by outlook as good institutes for B.Arch.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
