hello,i m a MBBS doctor & working in govt. sector . i want to do the higher study with job. wats the options for me.

yes ofcourse,

you can opt for courses like

MD,MS,P.HD. you can also opt for courses like M.SC.(MICROBIOLOGY),B.TECH(BIOINFORMATICS),BIOTECH NOLOGY,
NONOTECHNOLOGY.

plz give me information abt any short term diploma courses related to skin disease.

my suggestion is to pursue diploma courses like DGO,DCH,DVD or diploma in diabetology because diabetology gives more weightage and it is considered equivalent to MD in medicine. So depending on your interest and other stuffs choose the right option.

after MBBS doctors may prepare for work in general practice in Government or private hospitals or they may choose to specialize. More than 70% of all MBBS graduates try for postgraduate qualifications, rather than going in for a job or private practice. At the post graduate level, there is specialisation in Medicine and Surgery. Career opportunities also exist in medical services of the army, navy and air force, under the Ministry of Defense or in charitable institutions. Some candidates after post graduation, also opt to serve in medical colleges and training institutes as teachers or in research institutes and medical colleges as researchers. Many go for private practice/ self employment.You can also opt for Medical Underwriting i.e. you could try working in ICICI Prudential, Birla sun life and other insurance companies. Other career options can be found in the field of hospital administration and medical transcription. Hospital management is yet another option you could try getting into by doing a MHA course. Recently there has been a trend to go opt for MBA rather than MHA. The reason is that an MBA degree equips you for a career in many other fields rather than being restricted to HA .

so i request to all member please reply.

there are manny courses after mbbs, you can do md or p.hd after mbbs. you can choose according to your interest.

since you are already working in government sector, try to make a career in public health or hospital administration.....former will make you eligible for different government agencies and also for UN jobs....while a degree in hospital administration you let you get a better position in top-notch college of countries..
the field of clinical-research is also picking momentum, so a keep an eye on it too

after mbbs you can do higher studies as mbbs along with a pg will get you more experience and fame

after pursuing MBBS it will be beneficial for you to do some part time specialization courses

best for you is to keep studying for all india PG medical test and join as a junior resident in some hospital, so that you can manage your expenses.

the question is not i can do but how to do???
is it possible to study for postgraduate courses along with a job ? i hav to do a job along with that to manage my expenses.but most of my MBBS batchmates who studied with financial help from their parents and sitting at home for 1 or 2 years got PG? i often feel distressed due to that.what should i do?

as you are in the final year of mbbs......now you can try for defense hospitals.......

you will just have to appear for a qualifying exam and an interview.....if selected you will be paid at the ran k of sub lieutenant ....and will be given a standard life....

Army Medical Corps, which serves all three services can be joined after completion of MBBS degree, either through Armed Forces Medical college or from any other medical College.

For recruitment of Regular Commissioned/Short Service Commissioned Medical Officers from the graduates/Post graduates of Civil Medical Colleges, the Director General of the Armed Forces Medical Services conducts an all India competitive examination.

for medical entrance in defense refer the notification in employment news papers........

Great to hear this and for future studies you can try for the state government council for medical exams that usually give the preference for the government in service quota and you have to score more for the PG in clinical subjects like neurology, O&G and Oncology like subjects. if you opts for non-clinical subjects u can opt for the Anatomy, Physiology, biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology subjects which are usually and comparatively less competitive and u can also try for any Dip.N.B course in any reputed hospital which is also equivalent to the M.D courses. If you are interested in research, you can join Ph.D without any GATE, NET, CSIR, ICMR scores in any research institute like NII (National Institute of Immunology), NIRRH (National inst of reproductive health and research), CDFD(center for DNA finger printing and Diagnosis) etc.

dear and respectable friends.. i am doing graduation in western medicine from china....scope and standerd of western medicine in china is not upto high level as we see in india and pakistan....but i am doint my best to study hard as i can....i wanna some information about cardialogy and neurology...because i am intrested in thes two subject by heart....for this you have to go america,uk.cannada,and australia.....but i dont know how to go there to make my future bright....is it necessory to passed any exames for specialization in this country.....if somebody cannt pass what should he do.......can we do specialization on self finance....or any other alternative way to go there.....which country is best...and easy to do this...........plz give me some information

i want to know that there is a paper for which is taken for out of the country and if we crosse that paper then we get scship. if i am right so what is the name of that paper and where i can get form of that and what is the syllabus for that paper?

Dear friend
If you think you are not very intelligent it does not mean you are not intelligent. It means you run away from labor.
In that case doing MBBS is waste for you. You won't be able to clear all the exams even.
You should go for professional courses where you will find more interest to work. You can go for a normal graduation and after then MBA which would lead you to a good job also.

im doing my mbbs from china,nd trying my best to pass with distinction,but the standard of medicine here in china is not very high,i wanna go for higher studies abroad,wat would u suggest me to apply for?on scholarship basis?in the fields which are most demanding and with good scope?thanx

3.FRCS.

etc.


you can also practice in a clinic or nursing home.

Yes you can do good post graduate courses like M.S, MD, PHD or specialization in some departments.
Burt as you are now working in the government sectors so this is difficult to you to manage the study like medicine. But you can manage simultaneously then just go for MD,PHD.

If you want to go for job then you can go for it but if you want to opt for higher studies then you have many options like

you can do MS
M.Sc.
you can do Ph.D. and can go in research field also..

As you are a MBBS doctor and want to do higher study so you must go for the following options :-
1) Research options like P.hd in forensic science .
2) Master of Doctorate(M.D.) and Master of Surgerey(M.S.).
If you want to progress your study in bio science then go for M.SC. in Microbiology , B.Tech in Bio-Informatics etc.

These are some of the options for a qualified m.b.b.s graduate, apart from pg.

1.hospital administration
