Physical fitness for customs officer (eye sight)
Hello sir / mam im wearing specs and im having distance vision problem can i apply for the post of assistant commissionor or inspector in customs...waitng for ur early reply

The Candidates those who are intrested to become a Customs Officer, the Candidates will have to appear for the Civil Services Examination.The Civil Service Exam is conducted in two parts, They are the Preliminary and Main Exam.
The eligibility : The candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognize university , The candidates should have scored 55% in aggregate . Dear we are providing you the detailed information about the Customs Officer. For Assistant Commissioner in Indian Customs you need to give an exam called " Civil's ". For Inspectors in Customs, you need to give " SSC CGL " Exam.
And coming to Physical standards especially Vision standards you can have a look on the below standards. Physical Standards for Assistant Commissioner : Eye sight : 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Physical Standards for Inspector : Eye Sight : 6/6 and 6/9 distant vision 0.6 and 0.8 Near Vision. Height standards : Minimum Acceptable height : 152 cms. |

I'm too interested to be an customs officer but I have far sight problem and I have weared a specs of power 2.5 for both eyes. Is there any problem that I had weared a specs,can I able to apply for customs officer.

:Candidate must passed 12th from a recognized board with minimum of 50-60%Mark's. :-Candidate must passed graduation from a recognized board with minimum of 55% Mark's. :-Age not less than 18 years and not more than 22 years :-Age relaxation of 5 years also available for the reserved category candidates. --Eye Criteria:- --Uncorrect Without glass :- 6/12 --Limit of Myopia :- 3.5 --Limit of Hypermetropia :-2.5 --Correct Without Glass:- 6/6 :-Minimum height is of 152 cms. |

I am having no vision in my left eye. It means I can only see with one eye( right eye). Am I eligible to become a coustem officer and in revenue department , PSU's can anyone please help me with that ?
