Physically handicapped candidates are allowed for IAS examination or not?


I am having upper limb disability in my fingers of left hand. Am I eligible for becoming an IAS Officer? Is there any reservation and relaxation for physically handicapped candidates in IAS examination?

Yes, physically handicapped candidates are eligible for IAS and other services in UPSC. The UPSC gives reservations for physically handicapped candidates in the civil services examination.

Yes, physically handicapped candidates are allowed for an IAS examination and moreover, they also get relaxation in age limit and have reserved seats.

Yes, handicapped candidate is eligible for Civil Services exam .
There is reservation for handicapped candidate.
Civil Service exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year.
Qualification:-
Pass graduation with any stream from organised University .
Age limit:-
For open category: 21 to 30 years
For OBC category: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ ST category: 21 to 37 years.
Number of attempts:-
For open category: 4 attempts
For SC / ST category: 7 attempts

Yes, Physically handicapped candidate is eligible for Civil Services exam. This exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year.

Those candidates are graduate from any recognised University with any discipline are eligible to IAS exam.

But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.
Age relaxation is provided for SC / ST / OBC category as per government rule.

The maximum attempts for SC / ST candidate is unlimited.
For OBC candidate it is 7 years and general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen of India.

Selection procedure:-
Preliminary exam
Main exam
Interview.
